Every year during the holidays in the valley we come back bringing new friends. Never regretted it. Tried both the pizza round and the traditional menu. All exceptional like the super aperitif. This year the icing on the cake was the nice fast and efficient young waitress. Highly recommended.
On Saturday evening we had dinner with another couple in this place, let me start by saying that my husband had booked and had called again the evening before to confirm and ask how it worked (since we had never been there) if there was a fixed menu and yes he paid a fixed price because he, having had stomach surgery, eats little. The lady he spoke to said there were no problems and to go calmly and for the price there would be no problems. At dinner my husband ate a spoonful of raw meat with some red cabbage, a piece of cheese with speck, a slice of veal with tuna sauce (I would avoid calling the sauce seeing as it was), 5 and not 6 cruset (a type of pasta gnocchi) which he didn't eat because the cheese sauce was too strong, no dessert and coffee. 35 euros per person!! 140 euros for 4 for a terrible dinner, only one first course, cruset and that's it. The pork leg they gave us was reheated and had a rancid taste (even the couple who were with us said so), no one took the cotechino because it was enough to look at it, the dessert was a slice of panettone and a piece of bunet which I didn't I got (the panettone has been around since Christmas), people come for dinner and PAY 35 euros not to eat reheated stuff and leftover panettone!!!. The road to get there is bad and the car park is full of mud, but throwing away wheelbarrows of gravel??? NEVER THERE AGAIN!!! And I brought people because I thought I would make a good impression!! But what do people eat to say that they are fine!! Go read my reviews where you feel good there are compliments. An advice?? Treat people well, because it takes a lot to gain customers but it doesn't take much to lose them. A person who has been doing your job for 40 years tells you this.
We returned, as we do periodically, to eat at the restaurant for a family dinner. As always the food is genuine and delicious starting from the aperitif from the oven to the appetizers up to the dessert.
Please don't gorge yourself on the aperitifs because then you won't be able to finish the menu which is spectacular. The place is unique and wonderful, the atmosphere is romantic and seems like a fairytale place. Better to book obviously because it's always full!!!
The menu is fixed, but all Piedmontese and costs €35 each, they also make pizza, but try the local foods...
Spectacular!!! Well done!!!
10 and praise!!!
